Webster University, Game Design Camp, Learn video game design on our college campus by game design instructors. Weeklong camp is for high school students ages 14-18 who want to gain an understanding of what makes games fun and engaging, work in teams to design video games, and bring their game ideas to life using a variety of game development tools. Campers will spend the first day playing and deconstructing popular games to understand what makes games fun and engaging. Campers will then learn to design and develop video games using a variety of tools and software. Days 2 and 3 will be spent designing and building 2D platforms using Bloxels, while days 4 and 5 will be spent working in teams to develop top down games in Unity. Camp is held from 9:00 am-5:00 pm at Webster University’s Sverdrup Hall from June 27-July 1, 2022. Webster University staff will greet campers each day for check-in and escort them to class, lunch, and sign-out at the end of the day. There is a $350.00 registration fee for each camper. You can either make a one-time payment of $350.00 or start with a deposit of $50.00 with the balance due by June 10, 2022. Either will hold a spot in the camp for you.
